Julie joined Levertons as a Funeral Director in 2000. Before that she worked as a cremations service manager at Golders Green Crematorium and fully qualified cremations technician. She was the first and only woman to do so at the Crematorium. Julie took a break from being a Funeral Director for three years and completed her taxi Knowledge test.
During her time at Levertons she has been based mainly at Head Office but spent three years at our Chalk Farm premises where our mortuary, vehicles and coffins are. Julie really enjoys the people side of being a Funeral Director and dealing with the public. She is very much valued by her clients and the Camden community.
In her spare time, she enjoys lots of walking and going camping in the great outdoors. And is a great animal lover.
James and colleagues made a really challenging period for our family significantly less stressful with their incredible thoughtfulness, kindness and understanding of our needs. They were super attentive and respectful throughout. They gently guided us through the journey, always super communicative. We can not thank James and team enough for all their qualities as mentioned and making the day as beautiful as it could have been. Thanks again guys, from the all the family.

Leverton & Sons looked after us when our mother passed in October 2016, and once again, when our father passed in September 2024. They are the most patient and professional people. They never once tried to upsell any extra services. Julie, thank you for your patience when we grew frustrated with it all. And, most of all, thank you for looking after both our parents with such dignity.

Very professional and thoughtful throughout, at a difficult time for anyone. I have no criticisms. Indeed I specifically reported to my family the high quality of the service that Leverton and Sons provides. Mark dealt with our arrangements, and he and the other staff were consistently kind.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the support you provided during this difficult time. You were all truly fantastic. The passing of my aunt was unexpected, and while I was stuck in Trinidad, one of her neighbors recommended you to me. From the very beginning, you held my hand, guiding me step by step and addressing all my questions with patience and care. You asked thoughtful questions that I hadn't even considered, and your presence at the service was invaluable, as we were unsure of what to do. Your coordination with the coroner and cremation site was seamless, and I am genuinely grateful for everything you did. Although I don't reside in the UK, I will certainly recommend your services to others, even if it’s rare for me to do so. Everything went so smoothly, and I truly appreciate your understanding of my situation as someone living abroad. The empathy and care you showed were unexpected and deeply appreciated.
