Some people like to use a horse-drawn hearse for a funeral. Levertons uses a perfectly schooled team of horse breed - the Belgian Blacks. For the horse-drawn hearse it is possible to have a pair of horses or a team of four horses. The cost of a carriage hearse and pair of horses is £1,490 and a team of four is £2,160. We can provide the black horse-drawn hearse and grey horse-drawn hearse options as pictured here.

Dear Kathryn , I am sorry it has taken me so long to thank you and your team for the perfect way you handled the funeral arrangement of my wife . Your quiet efficiency and professionalism is so valued by those that are left to grieve, it takes all the worry of the practicalities away . I particularly appreciated the fact that you explained the procedures clearly and all the possible choices without any pressure , but giving helpful advice , quite rare in these days of the hard sell . I couldn't imagine being eased through the organisation and carrying out the rituals of that very sad day for myself and family in a more sensitive way . My sincere thanks .

James and colleagues made a really challenging period for our family significantly less stressful with their incredible thoughtfulness, kindness and understanding of our needs. Leverton & Sons looked after us when our mother passed in October 2016, and once again, when our father passed in September 2024. They are the most patient and professional people. They never once tried to upsell any extra services. Julie, thank you for your patience when we grew frustrated with it all.
